Nicholas Ho, a Summer Associate at Grieboski Global Strategies, is a rising junior at Duke University working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, a Minor in Computer Science, and a Certificate in Decision Sciences. Originally from Houston, Texas, Nicholas has enjoyed spending his summer in Washington, D.C. where he has expanded his knowledge of political processes and international affairs.

Nicholas accredits his interest in public policy to his experience in high school interning for Barbara Comstock’s congressional campaign. Over weeks of door-knocking and phone banking, Nicholas was exposed to social problems and unique perspectives that continue to shape his life outlook and career decisions today.

During his time at GGS, Nicholas has developed analytical skills and gained meaningful experiences that have advanced his professional and personal growth. He has strengthened his research and writing abilities by crafting memos on a diverse range of topics, from illegally mined Moroccan phosphate to relations between North and South Korea. Additionally, Nicholas has attended historic and important events in the greater Washington, D.C. area — such as former FBI Director James Comey’s hearing before the Senate Intelligence Committee and The Institute of World Politics’ 6th annual Regan Intelligence Lecture — that have furthered his awareness of political and global issues.

Next fall, Nicholas will be attending University College of London, where he will continue his study of public policy and political science. By immersing himself in the globalized city of London and traveling across Europe, Nicholas hopes to enhance his understanding of European institutions and political systems.

In his spare time, Nicholas can be found watching Netflix or pursuing his dream of becoming a world-traveling DJ.
