Managing Consultant, International Trade and Economic Development
Rabia Razaq is a business development professional with many years experience working directly on trade and investment for two Commonwealth countries, Canada and the UK. She has extensive experience in researching economic activity and sector trends, generating leads, developing pipelines, and meeting annual project targets in multiple sectors.
In her previous positions roles, Rabia honed her skills as an economic development, trade and investment professional to make a lasting impact on the strategy and development of each organization. Most recently, Rabia worked for the Consulate General of Canada’s International Business Development team on trade and investment promotion for the Canadian aerospace and defense sector, and she had a similar role with a British regional development agency’s West Coast office.
Rabia bolstered her expertise with the decision to work abroad in the UK for nine months and was able to further influence inward investment decisions with her international experience. Domestically, Rabia covered the aerospace and defense sectors for the Consulate General of Canada in the Los Angeles and San Diego offices and managed the Arizona and Nevada markets while working with key stakeholders in Canada, such as the provinces and industry organizations.
Rabia has a B.A. in Political Science with double minors in Economics and Business Law from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
