Alexandria, VA – The CEO and President of Grieboski Global Strategies, LLC, Joseph K. Grieboski, has been elected Chairman of the Board of Directors and President of the International Campaign for the Rohingya (ICR) during the organization’s most recent board meeting.
“I am both proud and honored to have been selected to the leadership of the International Campaign for the Rohingya,” commented Mr. Grieboski. “As the only DC-based organization focused on the needs of the suffering Rohingya population across the globe, ICR plays an unique and fundamental role in raising awareness of and advocating on behalf of the needs and desires of the Rohingya people.”
Founded earlier this year, the International Campaign for the Rohingya advocates for and amplifies the voice of the Rohingya with international organizations, governments, corporations, and civil society.
“Between 2014 and 2015, 94,000 Rohingya fled to neighboring countries, resulting in trafficking, extortion, and other abuses,” Mr. Grieboski continued. “Ultimately, the Rohingya are left without a place to go, or the necessary legal, economic, or social means to carry out dignified lives in their home country. ICR will speak for these people here in Washington and around the globe.”
